From Egypt to Australia: Brazilian natural stone companies have new opportunities to access markets through 2027
Buyer outreach, rounds of negotiations, prospecting missions, international trade shows, image-building projects, and market studies are part of the program developed by It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone to expand business connections and support market diversification
In the coming months, Brazilian natural stone companies will have different opportunities to expand their international operations. The calendar planned by It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone includes commercial and market intelligence initiatives through April, across different regions of the world, combining direct contact with potential customers, participation in major trade shows, market prospecting, and access to information to support decisions.
Developed by the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the sectoral project is preparing a series of initiatives that allow companies to work on different stages of internationalization: exploring new markets, establishing business contacts, showcasing their products, strengthening relationships, and generating business.
“We have developed a program that offers different gateways to international markets. There are opportunities both in destinations that are already relevant to the stone industry and in markets that we want to develop. The goal is to create conditions for more companies to be closer to buyers, learn about new business opportunities, and expand their international presence,” says the president of Centrorochas, Tales Machado.
Direct contact with buyers
Between October 2026 and March 2027, the calendar includes five opportunities for direct connections between Brazilian companies and international buyers in Brazil, Australia, Poland, and China. The initiatives will take on different formats, including international missions, buyers brought to Brazil, and exclusive benefits for companies exhibiting at trade shows.
In Brazil, the first initiative will take place from October 19 to 23 in the city of Barra de São Francisco (in the state of Espírito Santo). It will bring together 15 Brazilian companies, mainly marble and granite suppliers, and 5 international buyers. The region was chosen because of the strength of its natural stone production cluster. In addition to business meetings, the buyers will visit companies and a quarry, learning about the production and the availability of local materials up close.
In November, the program moves to Australia, with a mission from November 15 to 20 and B2B meetings in Sydney on the 17th and in Melbourne on the 19th. Only 12 Brazilian companies will take part in the mission, which will include 20 Australian buyers, identified according to the profiles of the participating companies.
In Poland, the mission will take place from January 19 to 22, 2027. Focused especially on the Central and Eastern European markets, it will bring together up to 15 Brazilian companies and 20 international buyers, with up to 300 potential business meetings, as well as technical visits and networking activities
Special conditions are available for companies that choose to participate in the international missions in Australia and Poland. The investment includes accommodation during the missions and lunches when the rounds of negotiations take place.
In March, two major trade shows will also serve as platforms to generate business. During Marmomac Brazil, from March 2 to 4 in São Paulo, the Buyer Project will bring 33 international buyers to Brazil for B2B meetings. Only companies exhibiting at the trade show are able to be involved in the initiative.
At Xiamen Stone Fair, from March 16 to 19 in China, companies exhibiting at the Brazilian Pavilion It’s Natural will have access, at no additional cost, to an International Round of Negotiations with 20 buyers specifically identified for the initiative. The focus will be on markets such as Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and India, as well as Turkey.
Trade shows and missions expand presence across different markets
The schedule also includes initiatives focused on market prospecting and the showcasing of Brazilian natural stones at major international events. In November, a prospecting mission to Egypt will provide an opportunity to deepen knowledge of the local market and identify business opportunities. The program includes participation in Stone Africa in Cairo, where a presentation on Brazil’s natural stone offering will be held.
The sector will also be promoted at Big 5 2026 in Dubai, one of the main construction trade shows in the region. The schedule will include a presentation on the Brazilian natural stone industry, increasing the exposure of professionals and potential market partners to Brazilian materials.
In the United States, Coverings 2027, from April 6 to 9 in Orlando, will once again feature the Brazilian Pavilion It’s Natural. Participating companies will also be able access an initiative at KBIS 2027 in Las Vegas (subject to quota availability), with options to showcase materials or attend the event in person for networking and business development. The opportunity at KBIS is linked to participation in Coverings.
“It is not just about setting up more initiatives, but about creating different ways to access the market. A company may seek a direct appointment with buyers, assess a new destination, strengthen its presence at a trade show, or be better prepared to arrive at a given market. The calendar allows each company to identify the opportunities that best match its current stage and business objectives,” says Thiago Fukuda, the manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone.
Intelligence for new opportunities
The calendar also includes two deliverables of market intelligence. Before the mission to Poland, there will be a presentation of a study on the impacts and opportunities of the Mercosur–European Union Agreement for the natural stone industry. Conversely, before Xiamen Stone Fair, a Market Study on South Korea will be presented, featuring information on demand, buyer profiles, competition, sales channels, and opportunities for Brazilian materials.
How to participate
Companies can already express their interest in upcoming activities. As openings for some initiatives are limited, companies are advised to get in touch early to learn about participation conditions and availability.
