Members of the It’s Natural Management Committee – It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, an export incentive program developed by the Brazilian Center of Ornamental Stones Exporters (Centrorochas), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), approved the inclusion of the Xiamen International Stone Fair 2024, the main ornamental stone fair in the East, in the sectoral project, during a meeting held on October 11.
Scheduled to take place from March 16 to 19 next year in Xiamen, China, the second-largest destination for the national sector, the organization of the Brazilian Pavilion at the fair will be conducted by Centrorochas, with resources from exhibiting companies. “When the current sectoral project was developed, the world was still suffering the impacts of the pandemic. Despite the importance of the Chinese market for the Brazilian stone sector, we couldn’t predict how long it would take for the borders to be reopened,” explained Fabio Cruz, Vice President of Centrorochas, during the virtual meeting.
Members of the management committee who were part of the Brazilian delegation at this year’s Xiamen edition highlighted, during the meeting, that all efforts to participate in the 2023 edition had paid off. “It was an excellent fair,” said Ricardo Schevz, Commercial Director of Brasigran. Tales Machado, President of Centrorochas and Director of Magban, also reported positive results for the company.
Other topics discussed by the group included strengthening the communication strategy for Brazilian participation in KBIS 2024, specific changes in the format for Coverings, and updates in the management of the agreement by Centrorochas.
At the end of the agenda, the sectoral project manager for ApexBrasil and President of the Management Committee, Emerson Raiol, praised the sector’s efforts in managing Brazil’s participation in Xiamen 2023 and Centrorochas’ direct support to companies, which even sent a team member, with their own resources, to oversee the execution of the action.
