Stone sector performs live on STF decision and ICMS on contracted energy demand

About 40 professionals from the ornamental stone sector participated in the live “The decision of the STF and the ICMS on contracted energy demand”, held by Centrorochas, Sindirochas and David & Athayde Advogados, this Monday, May 11.

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) decided on April 27 that ICMS is not applicable on contracted demand for energy, but only on that effectively consumed. Knowledge of the decision, which has not yet been published, is important to verify the scope of the decision and its impact on the sector.

Electric energy is an item with a high participation in the composition of costs in the industrial sector of ornamental stones, which is why decisions that generate an impact on the final value of energy are relevant.

Throughout the event, broadcast via the Zoom platform and the Sindirochas YouTube channel, participants were active in clarifying doubts.
