
Representatives of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) received the executive director of Centrorochas and Sindirochas, Celmo de Freitas, on February 15, in Brasília. The purpose of the agenda was to address issues of interest to the stone sector, such as issues related to Resolution No. 122, the Mining Code, the distinction between irregular and illegal mining, issues that are dealt with directly by the Mining Thematic Council ( Comin) of the CNI.
The articulation manager at the Federal Senate, Havilá da Nóbrega, and the manager of relations with the Executive Branch, Maria Tereza de Castro, participated in the meeting. The meeting also allowed for closer contact between sector entities and professionals who recently started collaborating directly with the Mining Council.
* Resolution No. 122 of the National Mining Agency (ANM), dated 11/28/22, provides for the procedures for investigating infractions, sanctions and the amounts of fines applicable as a result of non-compliance with the obligations set forth in the mineral sector legislation .
