The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) carried out the Mines and Energy Market Initiative (IMME), with the aim of studying and mapping public policies that improve Brazilian legal frameworks. The event, which took place between the 27th and 29th of July, had the participation of lawyer Victor Athayde, who represented the president of Centrorochas, Tales Machado.
Minister Adolfo Sachsida, the secretaries of the MME and related bodies, such as the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) and the National Mining Agency (ANM) were present on the occasion. .
According to Athayde, the IMME was an opportunity to identify synergies and understand the perception of regulatory agencies and regulated parties. “The event exposes, for society and the regulated sector, the challenges of both public policies and the regulatory activities of agencies. The initiative was an opportunity to fine-tune how the regulated sector sees its demands and how the regulatory agencies, especially the ANM, see the regulated sector’s demand for regulatory activity,” he said.
