
The executive director of Centrorochas, Celmo de Freitas, participated in a meeting with the superintendent of the Federal Revenue of the 7th Region, Flavio José Passos Coelho and with the delegate of the Customs of Vitória, Douglas Costa Koehler, last Friday (09/30) . The purpose of the meeting was to understand recent news about changes that were about to occur in the structure of the Federal Revenue Service and thus guide the positioning of entities linked to international trade in Espírito Santo.
According to the publication of the news, which came to the knowledge of the group, there is a project to regionalize customs commands and processes that would result in the loss of autonomy of the State Customs. After clarifications from the Superintendent of the Federal Revenue of the 7th Region, a manifest signed by Centrorochas, Sindirochas, Centro do Comércio do Café de Vitória (CCV), Association of Permission Companies of Customs Enclosures – Portos Secos do ES (Apra), Federation of Industries of the State of Espírito Santo (Findes) and 12 other entities that directly or indirectly operate the State’s COMEX.
The document addresses the possible changes that would be expected to occur in the structure of the Federal Revenue / Customs in the State of Espírito Santo, as well as to present the position of the entities in relation to the project recently reported in the capixaba media, highlighting the importance of the autonomy of Customs of the Port of Vitória, a fundamental condition for the stability, attractiveness and fluidity of foreign trade operations in Espírito Santo.
