Occupying the first place in the world ranking in geological diversity with more than 1,200 varieties of materials, Brazilian ornamental rocks will have an unprecedented highlight during the Casa Brasil New York 2022 show, which will take place between May 11th and 25th. On the 16th, at 7:15 pm, the lecture “Know the power of Brazilian rocks” will take place, given by the international specifier, Paulo Giafarov. The action is promoted by the Brazilian Center for Ornamental Stone Exporters (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), through the It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone sectorial project.
According to the vice-president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, the objective of the lecture is to publicize the potential of the national stone sector to the specifiers present at the fair. “In addition to the extraction potential, the country has a large industrial park for supplying finished and semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. The privilege of having large mineral reserves allows high-scale production to meet demands in large volumes”, he pointed out. Thanks to the technological production capacity, Brazilian stones undergo modern and environmentally sustainable processes. More than 95% of all water used in the production process is fully reused.
“We can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that our materials are surprising for their colors, textures, patterns and finishing quality”, highlights the international specifier of dimension stones Paulo Giafarov who will also highlight, in his lecture, about the possibilities of use and creation with national materials.
In addition to the lecture on 05/16, the Brazilian dimension stone sector will also participate, on the 14th, in the Technical Seminar with Specifiers. National participation in Casa Brasil New York 2022 also takes place through companies in the segment that will be exhibiting exclusive design pieces at the fair. · CF Stones
Trio of pieces that, together, form a centerpiece 1.15 m long and 30 cm wide, developed as a result of geometric calculations, the result of an algorithm created by designer Ludson Zampirolli. The piece is part of the “Tray” collection and was developed with CNC technology, Computer Numeric Control, a system that allows the control of machines, in the processing of rocks by cutting, thinning and undercutting from 2D and 3D projects, which are transformed into bespoke design and architecture pieces. Made in White Marble with inlays of green in a single cut and extracted in Espírito Santo.
· Samuel de Almeida + Pemagran
Set of five pieces with different sizes named ‘It’s One’, created by designer Samuel de Almeida. Pieces made in hard granite Verde Vitória, from the company Pemagran and extracted in Bahia. The pieces together weigh an average of 355 kg
