More than 13,000 visitors from 52 countries circulated during the four days through the corridors of Vitoria Stone Fair | Marmomac Latin America 2020. The main fair in the ornamental stone sector in Latin America and one of the three most important in the world, the event brought together more than 240 exhibiting brands. The next edition is confirmed for February 2021.

With a strong presence of national and international buyers, architects and designers, for the exhibitors the final balance was summarized in a qualified public, strong presence of buyers from Latin America and Europe and the closing of new businesses.

“Undoubtedly the best fair Gramazini has ever participated in. Compact but very efficient in terms of business. We were able to make two dreams come true: one of our employees who became a true craftsman and our father, who always wanted everything to be 100% natural”, said Jhonatan Thomazini, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Gramazini.

For the Pedra do Frade sales manager, Saimon Fiorio, buyers from Norway, Poland, London and England promoted new partnerships during the Vitoria Stone Fair 2020. “We are very surprised. We were afraid because we have important customers in China, which canceled participation, but many other markets appeared. We closed a lot of deals and also did a lot of prospecting”.

The way in which the materials were displayed at the stands drew the attention of visitors and accompanied the work being carried out by the organizers of the Vitoria Stone Fair to bring stone specifiers closer and closer to the sector’s industries.

“We followed the movement of companies to invest in a new concept of presentation of the stands. This year, this wave gained strength and the materials were displayed with more prominence and creativity, we saw commercial spaces that treated their products as true works of art. The presence of buyers from more than 50 countries proved the worldwide interest in Brazilian stones. Traditionally, the fair moves the economy of the entire chain and this year was no different”, said the president of Sindirochas, Tales Machado.

Among the highlights of this new concept were Marbrasa, Brasigran, Margramar, Cajugram, Magban, and others. “This year’s fair exceeded our expectations, we had visits from several national and international clients. Another positive point was the receptiveness of visitors to our stand. We invested in a space where the customer could have an immersion experience among our products and we received several compliments”, said the director of Marbrasa Andrea Cola.

Exhibition

In addition to pieces on display at stands, Vitoria Stone Fair hosted the third edition of Brazilian Stones Original Design, an exhibition that brought together 21 architects and designers, exploring ornamental stones and the use of technology in exclusive pieces. The exhibition is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Ornamental Stones Industry (Abirochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The creations are already traditional objects in the decoration and composition of environments, such as tables, armchairs, sideboards and lamps, however, thought of in an innovative way and with formats that surprise by the boldness of the work and the possibilities of applying natural stones in their manufacture.

“The exhibition is another opportunity to get closer to architects and designers, who are important for the insertion of Brazilian natural stones in projects in Brazil and in the world”, reinforced Ricardo Presti, sales manager of PBA Stones.
