Webinar organized by Centrorochas and Sindirochas and had around 70 participants.
Bringing together experts in the legal and technological area as panelists, Centrorochas and Sindirochas held this Tuesday, September 29, the live “Impacts of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) in the mining sector”. The event took place via the Zoom platform with simultaneous transmission on Youtube.
Bringing a broad view of the law and explaining how it can interfere in the administrative routine, the lawyer and specialist in Civil Law, Amanda Carvalho, began sharing knowledge, clarifying that it is urgent for companies to change their culture and adapt to avoid the consequences of law. From the moment it came into force, on the 18th of this month, companies need to be informed and take preventive measures to avoid the legal consequences of the LGPD. Despite the application of fines coming into effect in August 2021, security breaches may lead to immediate legal action, given the scenario in which the law is in effect.
The suitability stages for implementing the LGPD was the topic explored by the lawyer, specialist in Digital Law, Privacy and Personal Data Protection, Thiago Portugal Soledade. He detailed how companies should adapt technology tools and processes, in addition to managing risks, incidents and processes. The analysis for adopting technical solutions aimed at complying with the law and ways of processing data by the company was the responsibility of Sindirochas Information Technology consultant, specialist in Cybersecurity, Privacy and Personal Data Protection, Diogo Turini Teixeira.
At the end of the event, the panelists answered questions from the participants. To watch the live, click here.
