
During a meeting in Brasília, representatives from the natural stone sector met with the Ministry of Tourism to discuss a strategic partnership aimed at promoting Brazil as a tourism destination at both national and international trade fairs. The proposal seeks to harness the potential of business tourism to enhance the country’s visibility and attract foreign visitors to various Brazilian regions.
The meeting took place on May 21st and included Tales Machado, President of Centrorochas; Giovanni Francischetto, Superintendent of the entity; and Flávia Milaneze, CEO of Marmomac Brazil. The group was received by Thais Furtado Medeiros, General Coordinator of Legislative Affairs (Aspar) at the Ministry of Tourism.
During the meeting, a proposal was presented to develop a joint project enabling the Ministry’s presence at strategic events such as Marmomac Brazil, scheduled for February 24–26, 2026, in São Paulo. The actions include promoting Brazil’s tourism potential, encouraging foreign visitors to extend their stay in the country after the event, and attracting international journalists to boost the visibility of these initiatives.
This meeting marked the beginning of an institutional dialogue aiming to integrate tourism, business, and economic development, positioning Brazil as a comprehensive destination for commercial and cultural experiences.
