After a 25% increase in Brazilian exports to the United Kingdom in 2021, compared to the previous year, resulting in a total of 28 million dollars in revenue, the commercial connection between the two countries took a new and important step on the 25th. of August, when the members of the National Stone Federation of Great Britain (Stone Federation Great Britain) received representatives of the Brazilian Center of Exporters of Ornamental Stones (Centrorochas) and were able to discover all the potential of the national stone sector.
At the meeting held in London, Centrorochas’ vice-president, Fabio Cruz, the entity’s project manager, Rogério Ribeiro, and rock specifier, Paulo Giafarov, made a presentation highlighting Brazil’s geological characteristics and operational capacity. They also addressed the actions of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a project for the international promotion of the sector, carried out by Centrorochas in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Among those present were the former president of the international federation, David Richardson, and the managing director, Bruno Miglio.
“In addition to the extraction potential, Brazil has a large industrial park for supplying finished and semi-finished products, works of art, design, architecture, among others. The privilege of having large mineral reserves allows for high-scale production to meet demands in large volumes”, pointed out Fabio Cruz. Thanks to the technological production capacity, Brazilian stones undergo modern and environmentally sustainable processes. More than 95% of all the water used in the production process is reused.
“We can say, without a doubt, that our materials are surprising due to their colors, textures, patterns and finishing quality”, added the international specifier of ornamental stones Paulo Giafarov, who also highlighted the possibilities of using and creating with national natural materials .
The manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, Rogério Ribeiro, reinforced the importance of this agenda, which can influence the consumption of Brazilian stones in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. “The United Kingdom is seen as a strategically important commercial partner for Brazil, as it has a large center of architecture, responsible for a good part of the new developments in the Middle East”, he concluded.
In time, the meeting at the Stone Federation of Great Britain took place as part of the work agenda of representatives of the Brazilian stone sector in London, due to Casa Brasil Londres, a project created by ApexBrasil and dedicated to strengthening the positioning of Brazilian products , provide activations and business relationship actions. Aquila Stone Design
Two pieces idealized and designed by the designer and specialist in ornamental stones from Aquila Stone Design, Araciene Pessin. The pieces are support accessories in gourmet countertops and were created using the waterjet system. One is composed with Mont Bleu quartzite (Stonebank) and inlaid with Blue Agate (Mineral Brazil); the other was produced in Exotic Volcano granite (Gramobras) and Havanna Green quartzite (Santo Antônio).
Quartz tables created by designer Luciano Santelli in Vitória Regia marble for Brasigran. The pieces were produced using waterjet cutting technology, a high-precision process that allows the plans to be assembled by simply fitting them together.
