The Arab market was the subject of a study released this year by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) with support from the Brazilian Center for Dimension Stone Exporters (Centrorochas). From September 12th to 15th, Dubai will host the Big 5, a fair for the home and construction sector, and the two institutions have scheduled actions to promote Brazilian stones in the local market.

Known worldwide, the Brazilian Paulo Giafarov, international specifier of dimension stones, was invited to give two technical lectures, on the 13th and 14th of September. One of the events will be aimed at buyers and the other at local architects and designers. The actions are being organized by It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, a sectorial project that crowned the partnership between Apex-Brasil and Centrorochas.

According to the vice president at Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, among the various pieces of information available in the study on the Arab market, the one that most impacted the Brazilian stone sector was the local perception that Brazil does not have installed operational capacity. “We need to change that! We chose to take a Brazilian professional known worldwide for doing works using our ornamental stones. We will offer technical content explaining the use and improving the perception of local players about our operational capacity”, he concluded.
