Created with the aim of taking care of the strategies of the sectoral agreement signed between the Brazilian Center of Ornamental Stones Exporters (Centrorochas) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) for the promotion of Brazilian stones in the international market, the Project Manager met for the first time on Thursday, July 22nd.
The group is made up of leaders from 11 companies and is represented in five states: Espírito Santo, Bahia, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais and Ceará. According to the manager of the agreement at Centrorochas, Rogério Ribeiro, industries with different export profiles were chosen to guarantee the heterogeneity of the committee. “We seek to build a mixed group with representation in various regions and companies at different levels of maturity. For example, it includes a company that is not yet an exporter, but chose to take this step with the support of the sectorial project. And her presence on the committee is just as important as the others, as it will help us to maintain the focus of actions for industries of all sizes and experience in exporting ornamental stones”, he highlighted.
At this first meeting, the results of the Brazilian participation in Coverings 2021 were presented, the financial execution of the sectoral project so far, informed of the status of the actions in progress and the next actions to be initiated in this beginning of the execution of the sectoral project.
Management Committee meetings will take place every two months or whenever necessary. The president-elect of Centrorochas, Tales Machado, celebrated the beginning of this phase. “The beginning of this new stage brings us great satisfaction, mainly due to all the involvement of the entrepreneurs. We managed to form a heterogeneous group that was already very engaged in this first meeting. They showed us that they are willing, in the group meetings, to remove the company badge to wear the national sector badge”, he celebrated.
