The presidents of the Brazilian Center of Natural Stone Exporters (Centrorochas), Tales Machado, and the Union of the Ornamental Stone, Lime, Limestone Industries of Espírito Santo (Sindirochas), Ed Martins, accompanied by the Guidoni Group entrepreneur, José Antônio Guidoni, were received by Senator Magno Malta and the Federal Deputy, Evair de Melo, in Brasilia, on June 20th.
The agenda was aimed at an important articulation within the Senate during the voting of Bill 334/2023, which deals with the extension of the payroll tax exemption. Once this phase was over, the sector representatives presented grounds for the elaboration of a Proposal of Amendment to the Constitution (PEC), which will be prepared by the offices of senator Magno Malta and federal deputy Evair de Melo, and will be presented in the coming days, in order to ensure that the ornamental stone, lime and limestone sectors are fully contemplated.
