Centrorochas vice-president, Fabio Cruz, was received by the Brazilian ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Eliana Zugaib, during a visit to the Brazilian government representation space in the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting also brought together the project manager of Centrorochas and manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, Rogério Ribeiro; Nadia El Kadre, representative of the Trade Promotion Sector (Secom), in Abu Dhabi; and the international specifier of ornamental stones, Paulo Giafarov.
The meeting was based on the importance of Brazil in the world scenario of the ornamental stone sector, highlighting its production capacity, geodiversity and the need to implement environmental certifications. In addition to the global relevance of the issue, the Middle East has begun to demand compliance with the so-called “green protocols”.
“We had an excellent meeting with several important insights. We also talked about logistical resources, the need for a constant presence in the region and the lack of local knowledge of the potential of Brazilian rocks”, detailed Fabio Cruz after the agenda. “Both the Embassy and Secom made themselves available for us to improve the presence of the stone sector in the region and increase the demand for Brazilian products. One of the actions we must carry out, still in the first half of 2023, is an institutional mission encompassing the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia”, he concluded.
