This initiative underscores the Association’s commitment to seeking solutions that enhance the efficiency of natural stone exports and promote integration among different transportation modes.
The Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) will represent the natural stone production chain at Expo Modal 2025, the first logistics trade fair in Espírito Santo. The event will take place from June 3 to 5 at the Carapina Pavilion in Espírito Santo, bringing together entrepreneurs, specialists, and public officials to discuss solutions, trends, and key challenges involving Brazil’s transportation modalities. The initiative aims to strengthen integration across logistics sectors and increase the competitiveness of strategic industries vital to Espírito Santo’s economy.
The opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 3, at 6:00 p.m. A key highlight of the program is the panel titled “International Logistics: Challenges and Efficiency in Freight Transport (FIRECHAT),” scheduled for June 5 at 4:30 p.m. This session will feature a strategic discussion on the main challenges and potential solutions for improving logistics efficiency in Brazil’s foreign trade, including sectors directly impacted, such as natural stone. Centrorochas’ participation reinforces the importance of including industry-aligned perspectives that reflect the realities of Brazilian exports.
During the panel, the Association’s Vice President, Fábio Cruz, will address the challenges faced by the natural stone production chain, particularly regarding logistics, and will share experiences aimed at developing innovative cargo transport solutions. In addition to his role in the industry, Cruz is the founder of Cruzzto, a Espírito Santo-based company behind StoneLift (an alternative to container shipping that enables slabs to be loaded directly onto vessels). The first test voyage of the solution took place in October 2024, showing positive results in terms of efficiency, safety, and CO₂ emission reductions. This development has drawn significant attention from the sector.
Moderated by Suzano’s Institutional Superintendent of Logistics, Patricia Dutra Lascosque, the panel aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the future of Brazilian foreign trade, considering factors such as infrastructure, public policies, regulatory frameworks, tax reform, technological advances, and market trends. Centrorochas’ presence highlights the strategic importance of the natural stone sector, which finds its primary production and export hub in Espírito Santo and relies heavily on efficient logistics to remain competitive internationally. Responsible for approximately 10% of Espírito Santo’s GDP, the sector also secures the state’s national leadership in stone exports, highlighting its economic relevance and role in the country’s trade agenda.
