The president of Centrorochas and vice president and advisor of the Confederation of Manufacturing Companies of the state of Espírito Santo (Findes), Tales Machado, participated in the event celebrating Findes’ 65th anniversary, held on July 27, in the city of Vitória. The celebration was attended by its hostess, the president of the confederation, Cris Samorini, and the vice president of Brazil and Minister for Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Geraldo Alckmin.

During the event, Alckmin signed the authorization for the establishment of an Export Processing Zone (ZPE) in the city of Aracruz, under the responsibility of the Imetame Group, which must guarantee the necessary infrastructure for the operation, as well as select the companies that will be part of it. Government participation is based on consolidating a favorable environment for business, maintaining austerity and balance in public accounts to attract investors and entrepreneurs, favoring new opportunities.

Findes’ anniversary celebration was also attended by several representatives from the Brazilian stone industry and from Espírito Santo, the largest exporting state in Brazil. The president of Sindirochas [Employers’ Association of Natural Stone, Lime and Limestone Companies], Ed Martins, the vice president of Centrorochas, Fabio Cruz, political leaders such as the governor of Espírito Santo, Renato Casagrande, and his deputy and secretary for Development, Ricardo Ferraço, the governor of the state of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, the president of FIEMG [Confederation of Manufacturing Companies of the State of Minas Gerais], Fábio Roscoe, in addition to other authorities and entrepreneurs, were there.

On the occasion, Tales Machado presented Alckmin with a custom cutlery set whose handle is carved in Brazilian natural stones. The design of the piece, made by hand, is exclusive, produced by Romário Stones.
