  • Centrorochas Joins Regional Forum Program Connecting Health, Environment, and the Productive Sector

The president of Centrorochas (Brazilian Natural Stone Association), Tales Machado, will be one of the speakers at the 1st Southern Regional Forum on Health, Environment, and Sustainability, scheduled for June 5–6, 2025, at FDCI in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim (ES), Brazil.

With the theme “Sustainability in Practice: How Natural Stone Companies Are Adapting,” Tales’ presentation is set for June 6 at 9:00 AM and will explore the advancements, challenges, and best practices adopted by companies in the sector throughout the natural stone extraction and processing chain — one of the most significant economic activities in the state of Espírito Santo.

Promoted by the Regional Health Superintendency of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in partnership with the Municipal Environment Departments of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim and Vargem Alta, the event aims to foster dialogue among different sectors of society — including public authorities, academia, the productive sector, and civil society — to build joint solutions that promote regional development with socio-environmental justice.

In addition to technical debates and panels featuring representatives from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, IFES, municipal departments, and environmental law experts, June 6 will also include a performance by Camerata Rochativa, a cultural initiative linked to the natural stone sector that celebrates art and local heritage through music.
