Centrorochas coordinates conversation between Eco101 and PRF with drivers from Grupo Corcovado Brasigran

This Monday, October 21, representatives of Eco101 and PRF-ES held a chat with the professional drivers of the Corcovado Brasigran Group, responsible for transporting the company’s dimension stones. The meeting took place in the industry auditorium, located in Serra.

Representing the highway concessionaire, Alehandro dos Santos Silva, spoke about the importance of traffic safety and presented the structure of Eco101. He also showed data from the Accident Reduction Program (PRA), which is a road safety committee created in 2014 that monitors critical points on the highway and recommends measures to reduce accident rates in these locations. From January to July this year, there was a 9% reduction in accidents with dimension stones. And, in August, there was no record of any accident with rocks.

Federal Highway Police Officer Adriano Jesus spoke about the importance of safe behavior in traffic. With the participation of volunteers, he held dynamics to discuss the consequences of speeding and the distraction that cell phone use can cause the driver. According to the PRF-ES representative, most causes of accidents are the human factor, which is why he emphasizes the relevance and benefits of adopting safe behavior in traffic. He highlighted that the driver needs to keep 100% of his/her attention while driving the vehicle, as the decisions he/she takes at all times can contribute to preserving lives or causing accidents.
