For the fourth year in a row, Brazil participated in The Big 5, the largest and most influential construction industry event in the Middle East, held from November 26 to 29 at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates. This participation is part of the It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone program, an initiative by the Brazilian Center of Ornamental Stone Exporters (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). It emphasizes the commitment of the natural stone sector to establishing the country as a global leader in quality, innovation, and geological diversity.
This year, Brazil’s presence featured the lecture “Brazilian Natural Stones: ESG and Global Impact,” presented on November 29 by Fabio Cruz, vice president of Centrorochas. The talk, part of the official event program, highlighted the sector’s commitments to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, the diversity and sustainability of Brazilian natural stones, and their impact on the global market. The presentation attracted around 30 attendees, including architects, designers, and other industry professionals, fostering discussions on the potential of Brazilian stones in the international market.

In addition to participating in The Big 5, Fabio Cruz held a strategic meeting on the day before his lecture with the renowned architecture firm LW Design in Dubai. This meeting built on connections initiated during the Marmomac Brazil launch event for architects held in early November in São Paulo. The goal was to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities to expand the reach of Brazilian natural stones in the Middle East. The meeting highlighted the region’s growing interest in Brazilian materials, driven by the increasing potential of the local market, which is fueled by large-scale commercial and residential projects progressing at a fast pace.
