Alckim presents initiatives for industrial strengthening at the I National Industry and Services Meeting

At the I National Industry and Services Meeting, held on March 5th at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), the natural stone sector stood out with the participation of Centrorochas superintendent, Giovanni Francischetto. Organized by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the event brought together various authorities and representatives from over 30 sectorial entities to present initiatives from various government agencies to develop public policies to strengthen the national industry.

Vice President and Minister of the The Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) Geraldo Alckmin presented the main points of the New Industry Brazil, with its axes of innovation, sustainability, productivity, and export capacity, and highlighted important bills currently being processed in Congress to strengthen the national industry.

Among them, BNDES Exim, a project that authorizes the bank to resume financing for services provided by Brazilian companies abroad, generating employment and income here, the creation of the Development Letter of Credit, a title that makes credit cheaper, in this case, for industrial projects, and the Accelerated Depreciation project that anticipates tax deductions for the renewal of machinery and equipment in the Brazilian industrial park and aims to improve productivity and attract more investments.

In addition to the Vice President of the Republic and Minister of MDIC, Geraldo Alckmin, the meeting was attended by the President of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana; the President of Fiesp, Josué Gomes; Corporate Management Directors of ApexBrasil, Floriano Pesaro, and Business, Ana Reppeza, among other guests. All united with the aim of discussing a new strategic agenda for industrial and service sectors, as well as exploring perspectives for international business.

The presence of Centrorochas in this agenda reinforces the relevance of the Brazilian natural stone sector to the national economy and its potential in the international market.
