Fabio Cruz, Vice President of Centrorochas, was among the participants at the IV IBRO Forum – Brazilian Institute of Ornamental Stones – Thinking the Sector in 2068, held during the 7th edition of the Fortaleza Brazil Stone Fair (FBSF), from November 8th to 10th at the Ceará Events Center.
The discussion, held on the second day of the fair, was led by Simagran-CE’s President, Carlos Rubens Alencar, and included German participant Peter Becker, CEO of the Stone Ideas portal, a leading figure in the natural stone industry worldwide. Also participating was the creator of the Marble and Granite Technological Center (Cetemag) and the Cachoeiro Stone Fair, Álvaro Abreu.
Centrorochas’ presence at the Fortaleza Brazil Stone Fair primarily aimed at supporting the ongoing development of the natural stone sector in the Northeast. For the second consecutive year, the association took part in the event showcasing the full potential of the marble and granite production chain in Ceará, fostering synergy among architects, engineers, builders, decorators, and designers.
“At the end of October, Centrorochas brought together over 50 companies for a three-day session to construct the first sectorial strategic plan. It was a unique moment to think and discuss the stone sector today and what we envision for the upcoming years. This forum adds value to the initiatives underway,” stated Fabio Cruz.
Jonas Zucchi Tribute
The entrepreneur and founder of Granitos Zucchi, Jonas Zucchi, was honored by the fair’s organization. During the event, he shared his story and anecdotes about the company’s beginnings, located in the municipality of Serra, Espírito Santo.
Institutional Booth
Centrorochas was represented as the national representative of sector companies with a 48m² booth. “Besides contributing to strengthening our institutional brand, we promoted the export incentive program we execute in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency),” added Centrorochas’ communication advisor, Karina Porto Firme, referring to “It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone.” The sectorial project currently supports 185 companies to stimulate and increase Brazilian ornamental stone exports through strategic internationalization actions focusing on promotion, image enhancement, and sector development in the global market.
