In a commemorative edition of 30 years since the creation of the first ornamental stone fair in Latin America, Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019 ended on Friday night (30) and was special not only for the celebration of three decades, but also for the generation of great business and attracting a qualified public from the first to the last day. There were more than 17,000 visitors, who came from all Brazilian states, the Federal District and 16 other countries.

“Focused on networking and business, the commemorative edition of the 30th anniversary of the Cachoeiro Stone Fair fulfilled its objective of bringing together businessmen and buyers in one place. than expected. During the four days, several innovations in inputs, technology for mining, processing and improvement were presented, in addition to exquisite materials with the differentials that only ornamental stones offer. Many deals were closed at the event and others started that will continue throughout the year”, highlighted Tales Machado, president of Sindirochas.

Frederico Robison, president of Centrorochas, recalled that the fair reinforced the grandeur of Espírito Santo in the face of the productive arrangement of the sector in the national and international market. “During the four days, the event received buyers from international markets, including the United States, China, Mexico, Italy and Russia. The event is very important for the entire ornamental stone chain and, in addition to being held in one of the largest manufacturing conglomerates in the world, it brings news and contributes to new business,” he said.

The president of Abirochas, Reinaldo Sampaio, emphasized that the importance of the Cachoeiro Stone Fair is a confirmation of the entire market, from the producer to the buyer. “It was a general perception that in 2019 the fair increased compared to last year, which is a very interesting signal, mainly because the Brazilian economy does not have any signs of recovery. So everything indicates that the sector is finding a way to expand its market”, he pointed out.

Among the more than 180 exhibiting companies, the climate was also one of satisfaction and duty fulfilled in yet another edition. The director of Rexfort, Márcio Migliavacca, congratulated the organization. “You can see how much these dissemination and strengthening actions are reflecting at the fair. From the first day we had a qualified visitation, I would even say the best of these 11 years that the company exhibits at the event”, he highlighted.

Magban’s commercial director, Gonçalo Pena Machado, also praised the organization’s commitment to a more professional orientation for the event. “The Cachoeiro Stone Fair is an opportune moment to approach customers, partners and also to seek new opportunities in the market. Once again, the fair was fantastic and we had very positive returns”, he pointed out.

Special projects

Another highlight of the commemorative edition of the 30th anniversary of the Cachoeiro Stone Fair was the special projects, carried out with the aim of further strengthening business between buyers, distributors, marble workers and exhibiting companies. Portas Abertas, Clube do Marmorista and the first edition of the National Meeting of Plate Distributors, in partnership with Abirochas, were successful among the participants.

In its third edition, Portas Abertas had the participation of more than 80 people, who had the opportunity to get to know up close the operation of 17 companies. Architect Thais Figueiredo came from Belo Horizonte (MG) and praised the parallel event. “In addition to having the opportunity to see the material up close, this project strengthens our relationship with our customers, as they see that we are trying to update ourselves, participate in events and this increases their confidence in our work”, she pointed out.

Another parallel event that helped to further expand business opportunities during Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019 was the Clube do Marmorista. The fair received around 60 selected buyers, including distributors and marble workers from all Brazilian regions.

The couple Ana Paula Fonseca and Eduardo Fonseca, from Minas Gerais, said they already knew the fair and that they work with some companies from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, but this was the first time they came across the project and were surprised. “It was a very positive surprise. Parallel events, such as Portas Abertas, allowed us to make great contacts and get to know other companies that are not yet partners, but will certainly be from now on. This experience was completely different from all the others,” they said.

With the aim of discussing the ornamental stone sector from the point of view of sheet metal distributors throughout Brazil, Abirochas promoted, during the Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019, the first National Meeting of Sheet Metal Distributors. The event gathered professionals in the Cachoeiro Stone Fair auditorium and provided an afternoon of discus

positive ussions, with the presentation of the Academia das Rochas project – aimed at the domestic market and design valuing the marble worker – and the survey of collective demands.
