Centrorochas and Sindirochas promoted a meeting between the leaders of the ZPE of Aracruz and Ceará last Friday, January 24th. The agenda had as its agenda the exchange of information between the international free trade areas with the objective of seeking the development of the capixaba export processing zone and enabling the best synergy for the transport of dimension stones.

 

The meeting took place at the headquarters of Centrorochas, in Vitória, and brought together the president of Centrorochas, Frederico Robison, the superintendent, Alessandra Bertolani, the executive of Sindirochas, Celmo de Freitas, the director of the Business Unit, Celso Kohler, responsible for prospecting new business for the State via ZPE-Aracruz, Sérgio Almenara, representative of Marca Ambiental, who explained about receiving waste generated in the ornamental stone industry, in addition to the cearence entourage, Mário Lima, president of ZPE-CE), Sérgio Araújo de Souza , investment coordinator at the Secretariat for Economic Development and Labor of Ceará, and Alessandra Grangeiro, industrial business and ZPE manager at Complexo do Pecém.

 

According to the director of the Business Unit, the expectation is that the area will be inaugurated in two years. “We brought the ZPE area to a space integrated with the port of Suzano. At this moment, we await the release of the company, a partner in this adjustment of spaces, and the release of a necessary licensing by Brasilia. Our expectation is that the ZPE will be inaugurated in two years, together with the local port”, he explains. The administration of the ZPE-Aracruz is a partnership between the local City Hall and the Government of Espírito Santo. In total, the space will have an area of 1 million m², with 100 thousand m² reserved for the sector of ornamental stones.

 

Frederico Robison, president of Centrorochas, believes in the importance of synergy between the two EPZs as a way to strengthen the transport of dimension stones. “The integration between an EPZ that is in operation and another that is in the final stages of implementation is positive for the perpetuity and sustainable growth of the model”, he stressed. The Sindirochas executive, Celmo de Freitas, also believes in the power of this exchange of information. “Espírito Santo is a national leader in ornamental stone exports and sector entities have been working together to improve logistics and all processes that can contribute to better competitiveness in the segment”, he adds.
