  • Export Qualification Program launched for Espírito Santo companies

Another 200 ES companies will be prepared to be able to export by 2021

Governor Renato Casagrande received this Thursday, February 6, the president of Apex-Brasil, Sergio Segovia, to formalize the expansion, in Espírito Santo, of the Export Qualification Program (PEIEX), aimed at companies in Espírito Santo. The executive of Centrorochas and Sindirochas, Celmo de Freitas, represented the entities during the ceremony that took place at the Anchieta Palace.

PEIEX is a national program aimed at training and improving companies with export potential. In Espírito Santo, its execution is carried out by the Department of Development (Sedes) and has the support of the Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes). The Program’s Operational Nucleus is already operating in Vitória, but Espírito Santo companies can also count on the support of two other service centers: in Linhares, focusing on serving companies located in the northern region of the State; and another in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, aimed at companies in the southern region, which is based on the facilities of Sindirochas, a partner in this action. PEIEX is a totally free service and offers customized service “in loco”, participation in qualification workshops and business roundtables.

The expectation is that the program in Espírito Santo will qualify, in a period of 24 months, 200 companies to operate competitively in the foreign market. PEIEX-ES aims to serve non-exporting Brazilian companies or startups that operate in different sectors of the economy. The team of extension workers has already started to work with companies in the fields of stone, cellulose, machinery and equipment, food and beverages, cosmetics, wood and furniture, and textiles and fashion. Other sectors may join the Qualification Program.
