Centrorochas and Sindirochas participate in the MPT-ES campaign that encourages job maintenance

In partnership with Espírito Santo entities, the Public Ministry of Labor in Espírito Santo (MPT-ES) promotes the campaign “Work and Trust” for the maintenance of jobs in the current crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, inviting companies to commit to not reducing their staff for at least three months, based on the number of jobs maintained in February 2020. The initiative is inspired by the national movement “Não Demita”.

The Brazilian Center for Dimension Stone Exporters (Centrorochas), the Union of Dimension Stone, Lime and Limestone Industries of the State of Espírito Santo (Sindirochas), the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-ES), Companhia de Alimentos Uniaves and the Itabira Agro Industrial have already joined the awareness and social responsibility campaign.

With optional membership and focused on collective moral commitment, without implying penalties for non-compliance, the project serves as a demonstration of social commitment to sensitize employers to continue the effort to maintain their jobs. All partners involved will have their commitment publicly disclosed on the MPT-ES website and social networks.

Proposals

The MPT-ES is also available to receive, from interested companies or entities, proposals for municipal, state or federal public policies capable of collaborating for the maintenance and expansion of jobs, provided that there is the possibility and pertinence of its eventual action as an articulator with the respective federated entity involved.

Inspiration

The “Não Demita” movement, inspiration for the capixaba project, was conceived by a group of more than 40 large companies, with the objective of preserving the employment of their employees until, at least, May 31st. Currently, more than four thousand companies are supporting the movement in Brazil.
