  • Virtual meeting clarifies the Brazilian presence of the stone sector at Coverings 2021

The vice-president of the Brazilian Center for Dimension Stone Exporters (Centrorochas), Fabio Cruz, and the manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, Rogério Ribeiro, conducted this Thursday, June 24, the first event held by the entity as executor of the ornamental stone sectoral agreement, signed in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The focus of the meeting was the Brazilian participation in Coverings 2021, which will take place from July 7th to 9th, in Orlando, Florida. Brazil will be present with a stand that will be the home of companies at the event, where they will be able to receive their clients, hold meetings and use it as support during the three days. Still as a space for meeting and coexistence, the stand will allow interaction between visitors and the creation of a network in a structure with about 140 m² in a strategic location. Visual resources installed in the stand will allow companies to activate their brands and products. The presentations will be distributed in three totems with LCD screens that will display logos and other commercial materials provided by the companies served by the sectoral agreement.

“Considering the short time for preparation, the global pandemic situation, which imposes restrictions on entry into the United States, and the influence of this factor on the visitation capacity and, consequently, on the results of the fair, we opted for an alternative participation in order to make gifts, promote Brazilian rocks, companies and, of course, encourage interaction and future business”, pointed out Fabio.

“The absence of Brazil in this event, which is so strategically important for the dimension stone sector, would have very bad effects on the segment’s future performance in this and other markets”, reinforced the project manager, Rogério Ribeiro.

Exceptionally in this action, it will not be possible to send samples by companies. Considering the scenario of the global pandemic situation, which influences the capacity to visit the fair and, consequently, the results of the event, Centrorochas opted for a suggested contribution of 500 dollars. Non-payment, however, does not prevent the company from participating. Despite having different and mandatory values in the adherence to each action of the sectoral project, the value will be used as support for the sector. The entity thoroughly analyzed all the health restrictions imposed and decided that, for the said fair, the recommended charge would be the best alternative. It is important to emphasize that all work is carried out with total transparency and its main objective is to enhance the ornamental stone sector in the international market.
