Perspectives from the stone sector are presented to Ifes students

At the invitation of the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes) of Cachoeiro and region, Centrorochas and Sindirochas were invited to participate in the XI Edition – Academic Journey of Science, Technology and Culture of Ifes. On November 7th, the project manager of the national segment entity, Rogério Ribeiro, gave the lecture “Perspective of the Ornamental Stones Sector in the Post-Pandemic.

During the presentation, he contextualized the current situation of the Brazilian stone sector, focusing on what is to come in the next year, based on the perceptions of Centrorochas, Sindirochas and entrepreneurs in the sector. Expectations are positive and promising for the development of the sector and the entire production chain, which will certainly impact the demand for trained professionals.

In addition to the students of the Mining Technician course, teachers and other professionals from the school, the general director of the Campus, Edson Maciel Peixoto and the institutional advisor of Sindirochas, Alanna Almeida, were present.

The journey took place from the 7th to the 10th of this month and was carried out by Campus Cachoeiro as part of the 19th National Week of Science and Technology (SNCT) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
